Outdoorsy, active and fun are all words that can be used to describe this senior.  Claire loves spending her free time outdoors, going to the lake or river and hanging out with her friends.  Sounds like a perfect day to me!

So for Claire’s senior portraits, we stayed outdoors and used all kinds of natural backdrops.  I love the rustic feel of these photos!

We helped Claire with her wardrobe and makeup and made sure we gave her that natural feel she was after.  I love the headbands she wore, and think they added to the feel of this shoot!  And the cowboy boots are a must for any Texas girl!

After the summer is over, Claire is headed to Texas Tech, home of the Red Raiders!  I know she will have a blast and learn a ton!  But before then, she has her whole summer to hang out at the lake with her friends!  Have fun Claire, and keep in touch!!

Rebecca Shurl is a senior at Ronald Reagan High School, and was referred to me by one of my previous seniors, Sophie Walker.  I love when friends of past clients come to see me!  It seems we already have something in common and are able to connect that much faster!

Becca told me she wanted something urban and vintage and that she loved the use of color!  So I had tons of fun putting this shoot together!  After my stylist did her hair and makeup, we decided on a wardrobe!  I think the results are fabulous!

To get to know Becca better, I asked her the following questions…

What is your biggest accomplishment so far?
Getting in BYU was a huge accomplishment for me! Also junior year I made social officer president for dance team!
What is your favorite thing in your closet?
My dresses are my favorite thing in my closet! More specifically this purple maxi dress!
What is your dream job?
Lately i’ve been thinking I want to go into law. But ultimately I just want to do something that makes me happy, even if I don’t know what that is right at this moment!
What are your plans after graduation?

I am going to attend BYU in the fall!

What is your favorite place to shop?
I love to shop at urban outfitters, franchesca’s, and forever 21
What is your favorite food?
i love Italian food!!
What is your favorite place to hang out with your friends?
I love going to my Lakehouse and going out on the boat and just hanging out!
What is your favorite song?
I honestly like all types of music! But time of my life from dirty dancing is mine and my dad’s “song” so that one probably means more!
What is your favorite TV show?
Vampire diaries, gossip girl, and glee just to name a few
What are your favorite hobbies or what do you do for fun?
I danced up till my senior year. I decided not to do dance team for my senior year though, I don’t really want to do any pictures with that though. I really just love to spend time with friends and family. I’m the youngest out of 4 girls and all my sisters and I are super close. My oldest sister has two kids so I love to spend time with them also!

I would have to say that I shoot more girls than guys. So when given the opportunity to photograph a male high school senior, I jump at the chance. It is fun to see the guy’s perspective! I also get to use different poses and different locations, which is always fun.

Ryan is a very active high school senior. He is a member of the band, ECO Club and he is a class officer. In addition to all his school activities, Ryan also loves to have fun and meet as many people as he can!

Because of Ryan’s outgoing personality, we had a blast on his photo shoot! I loved his fashion sense and all the clothing photographed wonderfully in all the different locations we chose.

Kendall was so much fun to shoot!  She is really into fashion so we got along great!  I love to see what each senior brings to wear in their sessions, and Kendall did a great job with her wardrobe!

In the fall, Kendall will attend LSU.  She can’t wait for her college life to begin and she plans to rush a sorority!  I know she will have a blast and meet tons of great friends!

Have Faith.  That is the biggest lesson this senior has learned from running high school track since she was a freshman.  Running has given Shanice Ingram something to look forward to and has taught her discipline.

“I’ve learned so much through running.  It has taught my body how to keep going when things get tough,” said Shanice.

This life lesson will serve Shanice well in her future endeavors.  No matter what she does, she will have faith that she can push through anything!

Getting Shanice out of her running clothes and into some fabulous fashions was not hard.  I loved her dress and the turquoise jewelry added a punch!  The hat was also a nice touch!  Shanice is such a natural beauty with gorgeous features and it was so much fun to photograph her.  I loved her funky style with her green polish on her nails and toes!

Shanice loved the openness of a field and I think we picked the perfect spot for her shoot.  I love the vintage feel of these photos and I think the location and wardrobe really helped accomplish that.

Good luck after graduation Shanice!  I know you will be great at whatever you choose to do.  Keep in touch!
